Don’t Miss Out on Visiting Rome this December

colosseum italy

Join us for seven nights in Rome with a small group of curious travelers guided by one of the industry’s top guides! The hand-crafted itinerary enables you to see the city as you never have before. You’ll dive deeper, meet locals, visit neighborhoods and sites you haven’t seen before, and get to know Rome in an entirely new way. Plus, we’ve selected an excellent collection of restaurants and culinary experiences, allowing you to experience the city through all five senses.

I’m excited to share with you five of the trip’s highlights. Read on to discover all five. Don’t miss the opportunity at the end of the article to get even more details.

Meet the Artisans

On a typical trip to Rome, you may go streaming by these small artisans running from the Colosseum to the Pantheon to the Vatican. On this trip, we will slow the pace so that you can truly immerse yourself in the daily life of Rome. During the trip, you will meet local artisans who continue to work at their craft in the same way it’s been done for generations. One such artisan makes hats! You’ll have the chance to peek behind the curtain and see how the hats are made and the vital role this shop has played in producing hats for the cinema and theaters. It’s impossible to visit the shop without wanting to try on a few hats yourself. Try on the hats, take pictures, and if you like, without any pressure, you can purchase one to take home – an authentic one-of-a-kind souvenir.

Learn interesting tidbits of history, stop into artists’ studios and local shops, and of course, try the local flavors, including one of our favorite gelato in all of Rome!

Private Visits

Private visits are a cornerstone of our trips. We’ll take you to places not accessible to the general public and share with you this more intimate and personal side of Rome. We will take you into a private Roman palazzo. Visiting this space that was once only accessible by the most elite in Roman society is a remarkable experience. What makes it even more special is that the owner will be our guide. The second private visit will be to see some of Rome’s most celebrated paintings. We will visit the space after it’s closed to the public, so you can view the paintings without any rush or chaos of pushing crowds.

Wine & Coffee Tasting

There is no shortage of culinary adventures during this trip. One of the most special will be at a lovely little restaurant born out of the owner, Giuseppe’s passion. The chefs will prepare a memorable meal exclusively for us, and Giuseppe will artfully pair wines from the Lazio region with each course. He will share with you his wealth of knowledge about each of the wines and producers. After the meal, Giuseppe will guide you in a coffee tasting. This eye-opening experience will give you a newfound appreciation for coffee.
