I moved to Bologna, Italy, in 2009 with the idea of staying six months to a year, but Italy had other ideas!

The country swept me off my feet, and before I knew it, I was in love, and my life was changed forever.

I fell hard for the quaint towns full of a kind of history unknown in the US, the incredible architecture around every corner, the outstanding food that is such a cornerstone of this country’s identity and that is tightly woven into every moment and interaction, and the slower pace of life. These qualities drew me in, and the country’s grasp on my heart has grown tighter. This is a long and enduring love story, and I want to share it with you.
